The Rhealyz Naija 2013 Express yourself Music/Dance competition and Social responsibility awards have been rebranded to take a whole new outlook, thus the new theme – “Eclectic ’13”. The Music, Dance and special performance event would be taking place separately from the Social Responsibility awards event.
Eclectic ’13 would feature a music competition, group dance performances, special performances by guest artist and a special interactive talk segment. This year’s event has been carefully designed taking into consideration majorly our target audience, successes, comments and reviews from our previous events.

Terms and Conditions

To qualify for participation in the Competition and winning the title, all contestants should pass the basic criteria. The rules of engagement;

• All contestants must fill the form for Music {Singing-Solo} and Dance {Solo} respectively

* An SMS must be sent to 07063645195 containing contestant’s full name, category and contact number.

* All contestants must follow the terms and conditions

• Submission Deadline: 8pm, Thursday, December 12th 2013 {A DAY BEFORE AUDITION} BUT submission of forms can the closed earlier if we have exceeded the expected number {The earlier the better}

*Send SMS to 07063645195 or send a mail letsrealize@gmail.com for any submission challenges

.• All forms must be completely filled.

• If your act involves more than one person in dance, it’s acceptable.

• Submission of this form grants the permission of every person in each act, to have his/her/their likeness(es) shown on radio, TV, newspaper or other media associated with reports of this event and/or promotion for future such events.

• Should the event be re-scheduled, contestants will be notified of where and when.

• All decisions of the faculty and judges are final. Contestants must be available for all rehearsals and trainings.

• All acts will be notified ahead of time when they will be competing and any re-adjustment will be communicated.

• If an act is not ready to go when called upon, that act may be removed from the competition.

• Acts are allowed a minimum of 3 minutes and maximum of 4 minutes for Music and for Dance minimum of 4 minutes and maximum of 6 minutes.

• At every stage contestants will be given songs and sometimes expected to compose their songs with the song content based on any of the following societal issues; Poverty Eradication; Children; Environmental Issues, Unity, Peace, Education; Hunger Eradication, Hard-work, Women empowerment, anti-corruption and a new Nigeria. Contestants can use more than one issue. One of the objectives of the competition is to build a better society. For dance/unique talent, participants will be given the music tracks to rehearse with.

• Every performance must have a clear message and a practical storyline.

• Contestant where necessary will be expected to participate in the sub contests {Auditioning, Pre-final Competitions} in order to qualify for the final, and to win the title.

• For the Auditioning, the contestant will mount on stage to sing without instrumentals, The Judges will listen to your song. Their judgment will be based on this.

• For the Pre-Final Competitions {If Necessary} where some contestants will be dropped, the contestant will mount on stage to sing with the instrument, The Faculty and the Judges will listen to your song. Their judgment will be based on this.

• The competitions organizers reserve the right to any decision or action taken in relationship with any contestant.

• Contestant’s lyrics and action should be free from any obscenity, foul language or any negative character, if such happens the contestants will be disqualified.

• The audience at the event may also have the opportunity to send in their votes.

Why we can’t keep quiet

This is my submission, the issue on ground is not about any tribe, culture or religion because we have this being practiced one way or the other in different parts of the country. It’s about fighting for the survival of our GIRL who might become own Florence Nightingale ‘Lady with the Lamp’ who led other nurses to save the British army and made nursing a respectable profession, Mother Teresa ‘Mother of selfless service’ who spent her entire life to help the needy, Many Slessor ‘Twin Mother’ who fourth for the survival of our twins, some notable twins in Nigeria would not have been in existence and so on. Providing equal access to proper education and an enabling environment our little girls may become the women that will fix the deadly pot holes in our Nation.

I was just brainstorming and this came to my mind that if we don’t fight this one day we will wake up and hear that any man can have sexual intercourse with any girl once she agrees, this was the shameful and alarming statement a boy made when he raped an under 12 years old girl, saying she consented to the act. Freedom and liberty given sometimes has a lot of consequences, I start imagining families selling their daughters irrespective of their tribe and religion to rich men in order to make some money, and I hope we all know that marriage can be arranged within 15minutes or less.

There are some fundamental issues we need to talk about, but that will be for another day, our ladies need to wake up and reclaim their value in our society what we see in our musical videos today explains it all. Nigeria is bigger than us; let’s build a society of equal access and the ability to see my brother or sister as a NIGERIAN not based on where is coming from or his religion.

Social Entrepreneur 2012, Male and Female Category: This category recognizes a male or female personality who engages in business either in goods or services as a means of income generation without looking for job and flourishing. He/She should have used it to train and empower others {Not for profit basis}, thereby encouraging self sufficiency and job provision. For example; A consultant, A business shop owner, A caterer e.t.c. Along with your entry form you will provide an explanation of your activities as well as your project brief and pictures.
Farmer of the Year 2012: This category recognizes a personality who engages in agricultural practices as a means of income generation and has used it to train and empower others for free, thereby encouraging self sufficiency and job provision. For example; A fish farmer, A poultry owner e.t.c. Along with your entry form you will provide an explanation of your activities as well as your project brief and pictures.
Health Worker of the year 2012: This category recognizes a personality who sees reproductive health issues as its focus in positively impacting people in their communities. For example; HIV/AIDS advocacy, sex education, and teenage pregnancy prevention e.t.c. Along with your entry form you will provide an explanation of your activities as well as your project brief and pictures.
Community Development Worker of the year 2012: This category recognizes a personality who sees community development activities as a passion and focus in positively impacting people in their communities. For example; facilitating or providing community development projects e.t.c. Along with your entry form you will provide an explanation of your activities as well as your project brief and pictures.
Enterprising Physically Challenged Person of the year 2012: This category recognizes a personality who despite their challenges still goes out to be responsible and active in their various fields. “Though physically challenged, but not intellectually/mentally challenged”. Along with your entry form you will provide an explanation of your activities as well as your project brief and pictures.
Positive use of the Media Advocacy 2012 Radio and TV Categories: This category recognizes a personality who has being using the media either TV or Radio as a value Re-orientation tool to effect change and provide information and education about developmental related issues thereby positively impacting them in their communities. For example; TV or Radio programs to educate and inform e.t.c. Along with your entry form you will provide an explanation of your activities as well as your project brief and pictures.
